A system of memorization

Updated: Oct 20, 2022

Memory is a technique like tone, scales or breathing, and needs to be studied and practiced one-half hour per day. Try to recall music while riding the bus, on the plane, waiting in a long line; practice memory wherever, especially because it does not make noise. After two or three years the process will be secure, enabling the flutist to play under any circumstance. If the player makes a mistake, he will know immediately where the passage is on the page and in the piece, and how to continue. Don't forget the human mind never fills up; the more one learns, the more one can learn. Knowledge of music has no limits."
